Few Changes in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/08 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were little changed in seasonally light trading activity across the past week.
White proso millet ended the week unchanged in both dealer and grower markets. By contrast, oil-type sunflower markets again declined in line with easing oilseed values. They have been in steady decline since the end of June.
Confectionary sunflower was unchanged on the week, with new crop bids maintaining a wide premium to spot because of a tighter overall supply situation for the coming season.
