CGC Reports No June Pea Exports
WINNIPEG - Jul 28/08 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports no field pea exports for June through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement. The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.
The CGC said exports clearances ended up at 84,700 metric tons (MT) during the June of 2007 and finished last month at 157,700 MT. It says field pea exports so far during the 2007-08 crop year total 1,585,100 MT, up from 1,466,300 during the same period of the 2006-07 marketing year.
Cumulative exports since the start of the marketing year total 1,468,400 MT at Vancouver; 96,800 MT at Thunder Bay; 11,800 at Port Cartier; 8,000 MT at Sorel; and 100 MT direct from Prairie elevators.
