Most Birdseeds Unchanged to FirmerVANCOUVER - Jul 18/08 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets managed a mixed performance during the past week, with Canadian canaryseed stronger and U.S. markets mixed. By contrast, oil-type sunflower markets dropped in value in line with a general drop in oilseed values, now that markets are not worried about initial crop development. Confectionary sunflower was unchanged on the week, with new crop bids maintaining a wide premium to spot because of a tighter overall supply situation for the coming season.
