Few Changes in ChickpeasVANCOUVER - Jul 18/08 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were unchanged to slightly firmer on improved trading interest in North American origin product. Exporters in both Canada and the United States reported a modest improvement in buying interest for locally produced 8mm and 9mm kabuli chickpeas. Other origins report moderate trading activity, with current high values keeping most buyers operating on a hand to mouth basis because of the inability to carry as much product in inventory as was the case prior to the 2007-08 marketing year.
