SPRINGFIELD - Jul 16/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the eastern cornbelt in the United States.

Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 7/12/2008

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
mostly steady.  Trading activity was slow for light to moderate offerings.
Feed grade corn and soybeans prices were steady to weak. Wheat prices
were not established.  The arrival of new crop wheat and spelt helped
to pressure prices lower.  Demand for feed ingredients was light due
to higher feed cost and rising fuel surcharges.  Many livestock producers
are pulling back from purchases and sending cattle to greener pastures.
Reports of feed grade soft red wheat ranging from 11.50 to 12.75 per bushel.

All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
