Beans Unmoved by USDA AcreageVANCOUVER - Jul 4/08 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were not surprised by the USDA's preliminary seeded area estimates for 2008. However, major revisions to the numbers for corn and soybeans are expected later in the summer, which could see some changes in dry edible bean areas. Land in beans will be down from last year and a return to average yields would see output fall at a faster rate because last year's yields were higher than normal.
