U.S. Proso Millet Area Surges
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/08 - SNS --Planted area for the 2008 proso millet crop in the United States is estimated at 605,000 acres, up 6% from last year's total of 570,000 acres, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates.
Increases in proso millet planted acreage in Colorado and Nebraska more than offset the decrease in South Dakota.
