Fresh and Frozen Inventories DownWASHINGTON - Jun 20/08 - SNS -- Frozen fruit supplies dropped 24 million pounds in May to finish the month at almost 842.5 million pounds, down 3% from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Inventories of frozen juice rose 36% from the previous year and were 14% higher than the previous month at 1,802 million pounds. Fresh apples stocks finished the month at 994 million pounds, down 7% from last year, and down 41% the previous month.
