French Field Pea Exports Down in AprilVANCOUVER - Jun 6/08 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France slowed in April, dropping 4,215 metric tons (MT) from month earlier levels and plunging almost 49% below the volume exported last year. Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 18,520 MT of peas in April, down from 22,735 MT in March and down from the 36,085 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year. This lifted exports clearances so far during the 2007-08 marketing campaign to 183,700 MT, down 47.8% from the 351,935 MT shipped the first 10 months of the previous marketing year.
