Dairy Product Markets AdvanceWASHINGTON - May 30/08 - SNS -- All major products in the U.S. dairy market closed the week ending May 24 higher than the previous week, shows the latest USDA update on the sector. Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.99 per pound. The price per pound rose 3.6 cents compared to the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $2.02 per pound, up 5.0 cents versus last week. Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.46 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained 3.0 cents compared to the previous week. Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.31 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose $1.31 compared to last week.
