DES MOINES - May 21/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending      05/17/08

Organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady on light demand and offerings.
Corn trade slowed from the previous reporting period, while there were a few
soybean trades.  However, soybeans and oats are hard to find in the market.
Overall, trade remained quiet.  Producers are concentrating on planting and
not so much on marketings.  It did dry up across much of the Midwest to
allow for planting progress.  Organic crops are also being planted now.  New
crop bids for feed grade corn are from $8.00 to $9.00 per bushel.  New crop
bids for feed grade soybeans are from $22.00 to $24.00 per bushel.  New crop
bids for food grade soybeans are from $25.00 to $29.00 per bushel.  Monthly
and first quarter average prices located below.  All prices FOB the farm and
negotiated spot market.
