Mixed Week for Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - May 167/08 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered another mixed performance in seasonally light trade.
White proso millet markets were unchanged in the United States, while current crop markets for both oil and confectionary sunflower seed eased.
By contrast, new crop confectionary grower bids were up on the week. Larges rose to a 13 premium to spot, closing at 40 cents a pound for farmers dressed product, while new crop smalls command a nine cent premium to spot, closing at 28 cents a pound.
