NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT LM_XB403

continue to participate in Livestock Mandatory Reporting on a voluntary
basis.***

   Boxed beef cutout values steady to firm on moderate demand and offerings.
Select and Choice chuck and rounds firm, while rib and loins steady to weak.
Beef trimmings higher on light to moderate demand and light offerings.

   Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses up 0.33
at 156.83; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses up 0.01 at 152.16 ; based on 154.68
loads of Choice cuts, 114.70 loads of Select cuts, 8.60 loads of Trimmings, and
54.76 loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
   Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses
Up 0.16 at 143.47; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses unchanged at 138.80.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 272,628 head of cattle.

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 130.12 dn 0.40.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE NW_LS441
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 10.68 up
0.04 when compared to Wednesday's value.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  NW_LS500
   Sales reported on 50.25 loads of pork cuts and 3.5 loads of trim/process pork.

   Compared to Wednesday's Close:  Fresh loins mostly 1.00 higher; butts 3.00-4.00
higher; sknd hams 20-23 lbs 2.00 higher, 23-27 lbs 1.00 higher; sdls bellies 14-16
lbs 2.00 higher; lean trimmings 3.00 higher. Trading slow, with moderate to good
demand and mostly light offerings.

  *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 0.65" -0.80" back
fat at last rib.* **82.25 up 1.40**  Loins bone in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-
