Canada's Weekly Exports Total 521,300 MTWINNIPEG - May 12/08 - STAT -- Export clearances of all grains and oilseeds shipped from Canada total 21,744,700 metric tons (MT) so far this marketing year down 448,300 MT from the 22,193,000 moved last year. The latest report from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) summarized weekly product movement through licensed primary and terminal elevator facilities for the week ending May 11. Grower deliveries during the week included 240,200 MT of wheat; 39,700 MT of durum; 40,800 MT of oats; 107,000 MT of barley; 7,000 MT of flax; 119,300 MT of canola; 5,700 MT of peas; and 7,400 MT of corn. The CGC pegged total exports during the week at 521,300 MT. On the grain side this included including 186,500 MT of wheat; 84,600 MT of durum; 62,700 MT of oats; 11,400 MT of barley; and 1,100 MT of corn.
