Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - May 12/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warning Summary Nil. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A high pressure system over Victoria will drift eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday, while a cold front will slide southwards across Tasmania tonight. A series of cold fronts are expected to move across the State later in the week. The first front will enter western Victoria later Thursday and then weaken, while a stronger cold front will develop over the Bight and move across the State during Friday. Victoria Tonight and Tuesday: Fine apart from morning drizzle patches in Gippsland and local morning fog. Isolated early morning frost inland, then a cool to mild mostly sunny day with light winds. UV Index: 1- 2 [Low] Wednesday: Fine apart from morning fog patches in the east. A cool to mild day. Thursday: Patchy rain developing, mainly in the north and west.
