Few Changes in Field PeasVANCOUVER - May 9/08 - SNS -- Field pea markets were unchanged to easier in limited trade during the past week, with green peas maintaining a solid premium to yellows in both North American grower and inter-dealer markets. Markets in the United States were given a boost from the latest USDA Purchases of 660 metric tons (MT) of green split and 3,990 MT of whole yellow peas for June shipment from origin. Seeding of this year's crop is making good progress in the U.S. Pacific northwest and North Dakota, where the week started with 71% of prospective acreage in the ground.
