Mixed Week for BirdseedsVANCOUVER - May 9/08 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were mixed in light trade during the past week. Sunflower markets continue to benefit from strength in oilseed markets, with oil-type grower bids managing solid gains on the week. Confectionary bids were unchanged, with new crop holding a seven cent premium to spot for larges and a five cent premium for smalls. White proso millet markets were largely unchanged, with grower bids stabilizing around U.S. 11.75 per pound for farmers dressed product delivered elevators and processing plants in the U.S. midwest.
