Firm Finish For LentilsVANCOUVER - May 2/08 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week's trading on a relatively strong note, helped by continued buying interest in red lentils. The general bullishness of primary agricultural commodities and rising food prices is causing several countries to limit or ban exports in the hope local prices will fall because of more ample local supplies. However, this hoarding is stimulating equally aggressive speculative trading in futures based commodities, with the bullish tone spilling over into cash traded commodities.
