Dairy Product Markets Strengthen
WASHINGTON - May 2/08 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States finished the week ending April 26 with across the board increases, shows the current USDA report.
Cheddar Cheese prices received for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.85 per pound. The price per pound increased 1.5 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.79 per pound, up 1.9 cents compared to last week.
Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.37 per pound. The U.S. price per pound increased 1.8 cents compared to last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.26 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained $1.26 versus last week.
