Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 1/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A weak cold front is moving across southeastern New South Wales,
bringing a few showers to the region today. Behind the front a high
will extend a ridge across the state, restoring mostly fine and
stable weather conditions. No significant rainfall is expected over
the forecast period.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers in the southeast, chiefly about the western slopes
of the southern ranges and falling as snow on the Alpine peaks. Some
light patchy rain developing in the northeast during the afternoon or
evening. Fine elsewhere. Light to moderate southwest to southeast
winds extending through most districts.
Forecast for Saturday
Fine apart from a clearing shower or two about the ranges in the far
south. Local early frost about the ranges. South to southwest winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Fine. Local early frost about the ranges. Southeast to southwest
winds.
Forecast for Monday
The chance of light patchy rain in the far southern inland. Fine
elsewhere, with local early frost about the ranges. Generally light
winds.
