MELBOURNE - May 1/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A weak cold front is move across southern New South Wales. A
prefrontal cloud band covering the state is not expected to produce
any significant rainfall. On Friday the front will move over the
southwestern Tasman Sea and a high will move over the state bringing
mostly fine and stable weather conditions.
Forecast for Thursday evening
Light rain over the southern and central inland. Fine in the north.
Light to moderate west to southwest winds.
Forecast for Friday
The chance of light patchy rain in the far northeast. Isolated
showers about the western slopes of the southern ranges, snow showers
on the Alpine peaks.  Fine in the remainder. Southwest winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Fine. Local early frost about the ranges. Southwest winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Fine. Local early frost about the ranges. South to southwest winds.
Forecast for Monday
The chance of light patchy rain in the far southern inland. Fine
elsewhere. Westerly winds.
