Record Pace for Canadian CrushOTTAWA - Apr 24/08 - SNS -- Canadian oilseed crush maintained its record pace in march, setting a new monthly record and lifting season to date crush to a new record, according to the latest Statistics Canada data. Oilseed processors crushed a monthly record of 374,283 metric tons (MT) of canola in March. Oil production totalled 157,355 MT in March, while meal production amounted to 228,661 MT. The amount of canola crushed since the beginning of the crop year also reached a record, at 2,811,169 MT. The previous August-to-March high had been 2,394,274 MT in 2006-07.
