Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 6,700 MT
KANSAS CITY - Apr 23/08 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 138,570 MT, compared to 156,900 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are down 10,990 MT at 15,530 MT versus 26,520 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is up 4,920 MT from last year's 51,860 MT.
