Eastern U.S. Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

SPRINGFIELD - Apr 9/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the eastern cornbelt in the United States.

Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 4/5/2008

Organic grain and feedstuff prices were mixed compared to
two weeks ago. Demand was light to moderate for light offerings.
Feed grade corn and soybeans was mixed, with soybeans higher and
corn lower. Wheat prices were not established. Corn prices were
steady to weak on light demand. Tight supplies and lack of soybean
movement coming in from South America supported higher soybean prices.
Spelt contracts offered 11.00 to 12.00 per bushel.
Monthly and 1st quarter averages of organic prices located below.
All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
