DES MOINES - Apr 9/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 04/05/2008

Organic grain and feedstuff prices mostly steady on very light demand and
offerings compared to two weeks ago. Hay prices weaker on lower demand for
the past few weeks, as producers wait for pastures to green. Very little
soybean movement reported as there is little left in the country. No
soybeans coming in from South America, which is probably because of the
strikes in both Argentina and Brazil. Buyers are contracting new crop food
grade soybeans from 26.00-28.00 per bushel. Brown flax trading from 26.00-
29.00 per cwt. New crop food soybeans being contracted for 26.00-28.00 per
bushel. Corn contracts offered from 9.00-10.00 per bushel. Monthly and 1st
quarter average prices located below. All prices FOB the farm and negotiated
