Light Trade in LentilsVANCOUVER - Apr 4/08 - SNS -- North American lentil markets were little changed in relatively light trading interest during the past week. Markets were not surprised by the latest USDA seeding intentions report, which revealed growers in the United States intend to cut lentil area 9% to 277,000 acres. Average yields would see production sink 18% to just 130,000 metric tons (MT), which may force the United States to reduce commercial export along with sales to domestic canners and packagers.
