USDA Buys 10,300 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Apr 2/08 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 10,300 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 048, the pulses packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between May 1 to April 22 and between May 23 to June 13 for plants located at port.
In announcing results of the tender, the USDA said offers for 280 MT of Dark Red Kidney Beans (consolidation number 424251-1) were rejected due to price.
