Chickpeas Readying For Mexican New CropVANCOUVER - Mar 28/08 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were little changed during the past week, waiting for the first deliveries of new crop chickpeas to become available from Mexico. Many traders expect some relaxation in world trading levels for chickpeas once product is more readily available, but do not expect a significant downward revision in trading levels. There is a growing sense of pent-up demand among end users, with importers in Spain and other countries showing greater than normal interest in securing new crop supplies of chickpeas from Mexico as well as dry edible beans from other Latin American origins.
