Canadian lentil Values EaseVANCOUVER - Mar 14/08 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with values in the United States firming, while prices in Canada eased in limited trade. Markets have surpassed their historic highs for several classes of lentils on export markets because of the need to ration demand for Canada's remaining lentils. During the first half of the year, Canada exported 65.8% of what is expected to ship this season. Clearances averaged over 78,000 metric tons (MT) per month between August and September and only need to average 41,000 MT a month through July to end up at 720,600 MT.
