Chickpea Markets Inch UpwardVANCOUVER - Mar 14/08 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were somewhat firmer during the past week, with new crop product from Mexican trading at higher levels into northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Traders in India continue to hold back from selling, resisting efforts by European importers to nudge world markets lower. Canadian exporters report improved buying interest on the week, but the ideas of buyers remains behind values needed to attract grower selling.
