Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 3/09/2008
Organic grain and feedstuff prices steady to higher on light demand and
offerings compared to two weeks ago. Soybeans were higher and corn steady.
Livestock producers talk about switching from organic to non-gmo, due to cost
of feed. Processors are looking at their options, maybe going to fill needs
with non-gmo soybeans. Reports of food grade oats selling for between 7.00
and 8.00 per bushel. New crop bean contracts ranging from 22.00 for low
protein beans to 30.00 for high protein beans. Just have to wait and see how
all this shakes out.

farm and negotiated spot market.
