Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 03/08/2008

Organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady to higher compared to
two weeks ago. Feed grade corn was steady, as soybeans continue to
climb higher. Wheat prices were not established. Demand was light to
moderate for light offerings. Processors and livestock producers are pulling
back from purchases. There are reports of dairies and livestock feeders
switching to non-gmo feed. Cost of feed and the inability to pass on these
costs are listed as the main reasons for the switch.
Monthly and 4th quarter averages of organic prices located below.
All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
