Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars
per cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady to higher in the south and
in California. By-products were mostly steady to higher in the south and
steady in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady to 2.00 higher, quoted
mostly at 28.00-28.50; medium grain prices were steady to instances 5.00
higher, quoted mostly at 26.00-28.00; parboiled rice prices were steady to
2.00 higher, quoted mostly at 30.00-30.50; second heads were steady to 1.00
higher; brewers were steady to 1.50 higher, quoted mostly at 16.50-17.50.
Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady to instances 15.00 higher;
millfeed was mostly steady, instances 11.00 higher; hulls were steady to 5.00
higher in a light test.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
at 27.50-28.00-; short grain prices were steady to 50 cents higher; second
heads were steady; brewers were steady to 25 cents higher. Rice bran was
steady; rice hulls were steady.
