U.S. Beans in Record TerritoryVANCOUVER - Mar 7/08 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week on a bullish note, with the U.S. spot market index setting a new record high value by week's end. It finished the week at 1233, up 20 points from the previous week and compared to 946 at this time last year. The grower index finished up 20 points at 1139, about 100 points below its record high, but up from 857 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 82.6%, up 0.1 points from last week and up 1.6 points from this time last year.
