Alaron Energy Comment

CHICAGO - Mar 3/08 - SNS -- Following is the energy futures comment from Alaron Trading Corp.

Is OPEC feeling a little guilty maybe? Over the  weekend this greedy cartel has been showing signs that maybe   deep down inside they are human and may actually have a conscience. Not much of a conscience but a conscience nonetheless. While I wouldn't bet  the cartel has had  some type of conversion over the weekend but there are signs that maybe, just maybe, they are starting to realize the folly of cutting oil production into a slowing economy thereby raising the price of oil and perhaps driving the world economy into a recession.

Can OPEC save the world economy from a major meltdown? With inflation rising and a week of rising economic uncertainty,  OPEC could send a positive sign to the markets by assuring us that they will keep the world's economies in their thought process. It is so much easier to be noble with oil trading over $100 a barrel. And though OPEC may not cut production, we do not look for them to step up production either.
