Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A high pressure system near Tasmania will drift slowly eastwards, reaching the Tasman Sea on Monday. A weakening cold front will then reach southwestern Victoria late Monday, before sliding southeastwards. The next high pressure system will pass south of the State on Tuesday before reaching the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. Victoria Sunday: Fine. A warm and mostly sunny day inland with light northeast to northerly winds, but milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes. Fire Danger: High to very high in the north and west. UV Index: 7 [High] reducing to 5 [moderate] under cloud. Monday: Fine and warm to hot ahead of an afternoon change about the west coast with isolated showers and thunderstorms following the change at night. Tuesday: Isolated showers in southern and mountain districts contracting eastwards. Warm to hot in the north, but milder in the south.
