Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 1/08 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Strong Wind Warning for NSW coastal waters north of Seal Rocks. Flood
warning for the Warrego River. For the latest warning information
please check the Bureau's web site http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw/
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A high west of Tasmania extends a ridge along the New South Wales
coast and directs cool south to southeasterly winds across the state.
Shower activity should affect the coast and adjacent ranges today as
the high moves into the southern Tasman Sea. This activity should
then contract north as the high moves further east across the Tasman
on Monday. A cold front is expected to affect the south coast on
Tuesday then move along the remainder of the coast Wednesday as
another high moves into the Tasman.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, clearing in the
south. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeast winds,
fresh on the northern coast.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent
ranges, more likely about the far north coast. Fine elsewhere.
Southeast to northeast winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers along the far north coast, and developing about the
southern coast and adjacent ranges. Southeast to northeast winds near
the coast, tending light and variable inland.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers coast and adjacent ranges. Fine remainder. Southeast
winds.
