Demand For Mexican Chickpeas Rising
VANCOUVER - Feb 29/08 - SNS -- Advancing asking prices for Indian origin chickpeas is driving demand into the Mexican market, adding important support to local values as harvest becomes more widespread.
Harvest activity is well engaged in Sinaloa, but is still a week to 10 days away in northern Mexico. This is limiting grower selling interest, keeping Mexican exporters and processors cautious about adding to new crop sales positions.
