SAF Looks For Bigger Pulse HarvestVANCOUVER - Feb 26/08 - SNS -- Pulse production levels in South Africa should be up significantly over last season, but will remain at levels which will make imports necessary and compromise the country's ability to expand regional exports from its local harvest. The latest crop production estimates from the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) peg the final estimate for this season's winter lupin harvest at 13,300 metric tons (MT) from 14,000 hectares, unchanged from its previous forecast, but down from last season.
