Green Lentils Near Record LevelsVANCOUVER - Feb 22/08 - SNS -- Canadian green lentil grower markets edged closer to establishing new record high bid levels during the past week, with spreads between grades narrowing considerably. This has seen No 2 and lower small green grower bids reach into record territory, while No 1 grade bids remain behind their historic highs. In large green lentils, No 2 grade bids are just 60 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) off their highs, while the No 1 bid has another $2.60 cwt to traverse.
