Australian Livestock Auction Action UpSYDNEY - Feb 22/08 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd declined during the past week on higher lamb, sheep and cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 37,824 sheep and lambs, versus 35,225 head during the previous week's auctions, and 5,523 head of cattle, compared to 4,829 last week. "The grass market was in full swing last week taking pricing to new levels," AuctionsPlus' Dean Lemmich said. "But a week is a long time in the market place and even though some excellent results were achieved this week you have the distinct feeling the grass market could run out of puff very quickly unless rain intercedes to save the day."
