No Changes in Australian Crop OutlookVANCOUVER - Feb 19/08 - SNS -- No changes were made to this season's pulse crop estimates in the latest report from the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE). Total pulse output was left at 1.272 million metric tons (MT) from 3.82 million acres; up from 763,330 MT from 4.12 million acres last year. Despite the increase, total production remains well below normal for the country on account of a second year of below normal yields and seeded area for lupins. Though lupin output nearly doubled to 330,600 MT, the crop is normally closer to one million tons.
