Australian Livestock Auction Action UpSYDNEY - Feb 15/08 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd declined during the past week on higher lamb, sheep and cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 35,225 sheep and lambs, versus 31,123 head during the previous week's auctions, and 4,829 head of cattle, compared to 2,056 last week. "Grass spoke today and the cattle market moved," AuctionsPlus' Dean Lemmich said. "Young steers, 274 kg at Winton, made 202.2c/kg, and 295 kg heifers at Tambo made to 210.3c/$620. These are the extreme high points of course but the market was very solid." Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
