Markets Closing Week With FlourishCHICAGO - Feb 1/08 - SNS -- International agriculture commodity markets finished the week's trading with a flourish, with the Philippines buying rice and South Korea buying corn during the week even as it rejected offers on a substantial tender. Markets finished higher on overnight electronic trading in Chicago, with wheat supported by surging values on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. March wheat rose 12 1/4 cents to finish at $9.41 3/4 per bushel, March corn rose 5 1/4 cents to $5.06 1/2, and March soybeans rose 10 cents to finish overnight trading at $12.84 1/2. Stronger North American wheat markets helped lift Paris milling wheat futures. The March contract rose Euros 1 to Euros 245.50 MT and November rose Euros 1.25 to close at Euros 218.50 MT.
