Canadian Poultry Placements Up In December
OTTAWA - Jan 28/08 - SNS -- Canadian poultry placements were posted month and year earlier gains for chickens during December, according to Statistics Canada.
Placements of hatchery chicks onto farms were estimated at 59.3 million birds in December, up 5.3% from December 2006. Placements of turkey poults on farms increased 10.2% to 1.7 million birds.
