Australian Livestock Auction Action SlipsSYDNEY - Jan 25/08 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd declined during the past week on reduced lamb and sheep offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 46,595 sheep and lambs, versus 48,668 head during the previous week's auctions, and 4,760 head of cattle, compared to 4,016 last week. "For January, this weeks' throughput was exceptionally good," AuctionsPlus' Dean Lemmich said. "The next two to three weeks will see receding floodwaters activate Queensland purchasers. One has the feeling that as they are desperate to buy, actual saleable numbers may become very light on.
