Chickpea Markets SteadyVANCOUVER - Jan 18/08 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week's trading little changed as buying and selling interest remained in rough balance. Medium and small caliber kabuli chickpeas continue to wait for concrete news from India about the size of this year's "dollar" or kabuli chickpea harvest. This crop is grown principally for export, with the result most traders in that country do not expected this year's potentially smaller rabi or winter season pulse crop to cause the government to reimpose a ban on exports.
