Australian Livestock Auction Action JumpsSYDNEY - Jan 18/08 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd rebounded during the past week on improved livestock offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 48,668 sheep and lambs, versus 29,596 head during the previous week's auctions, and 4,016 head of cattle, compared to 1,133 last week. "Throughputs were excellent this week considering we’re still in January," AuctionsPlus' Dean Lemmich said. "Rainfall to date makes a great start to the New Year but it must be perplexing to large cattle processors who are about to look for numbers to re-open after the break."
