Dairy Product Markets StrengthenWASHINGTON - Jan 18/08 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were all higher during the week ending January 12, shows this USDA statistics. Cheddar Cheese prices obtained for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $2.00 per pound. The price per pound increased 1.5 cents versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $2.03 per pound, up $2.03 versus the previous week. Butter prices realized for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.24 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained $1.24 versus the previous week. Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.65 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained $1.65 versus last week.
