Eastern U.S. Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

SPRINGFIELD - Jan 16/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the eastern cornbelt in the United States.


Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 01/12/2008

Organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady to firm compared
to two weeks ago.  Corn and wheat prices were steady and soybeans
was higher. Small grains were not established.  Aggresive buying
interest continue to carry soybean prices higher. Corn and wheat was
steady on moderate offerings and good demand.  Growing interest due
to higher prices have encourage producers to make additional sales.
Reports of new crop corn being contracted for 9.50-10.50, new crop
feed grade beans contracts ranging from 19.00-23.00, with food grade
soybeans ranging from 23.00-25.00.

All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
